Stanford to Rose Bowl; No BCS for the MAC

Stanford was able to hold off the UCLA Bruins 27-24, win the PAC12 title, and head to the Rose Bowl for the first time since 2000. Stanford will play the winner of the Nebraska\Wisconsin B1G Championship game tomorrow in the Rose Bowl.

Earlier in the night, Northern Illinois upset Kent State 44-37 in overtime to win the MAC Conference title, and save the Orange Bowl. A Kent State win would have likely earned the Golden Flash(es?) a trip to the Orange Bowl, and the chance to be sacrificed to Florida State.
